Prevention

Preventive dental care is very important throughout our lives, regardless of age. Proper oral hygiene at home and regular check-ups every six months are a prerequisite for keeping your teeth healthy over the years. Here are a few simple steps to help prevent plaque buildup and caries occurrence: - brush your teeth at least twice a day with a medium-hard toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste to remove food residue and plaque from tooth surfaces.

Do not forget to wash the upper surface of the tongue with a brush at the end, so you will remove the rest of the plaque and keep your breath fresh. - Clean the spaces between your teeth with dental floss or interdental brushes at least once a day. We recommend using mouthwashes that kill bacteria and maintain fresh breath. Bacteria that are the direct cause of caries are very often found in the spaces between the teeth and under the gums, inaccessible for cleaning with a toothbrush and can only be removed with floss, interdental brushes or rinsing fluids.
- Balanced diet and avoiding uncontrolled sugar intake - Foods such as raw vegetables, pure yoghurt, cheese and fruit are essential in maintaining dental health.
